Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW John Barilaro today announced that four new Service NSW Centres would open in the electorate of Murray as part of the $20 million Service NSW Rural and Regional roll-out.

Mr Barilaro said that new Service Centres in Hay, Leeton, Finley and Wentworth would create a one-stop-shop for all NSW Government services.

“We want to give businesses and locals the convenience that comes with the fast and efficient delivery of government services, so residents don’t waste their time waiting in queues.

“The rollout of four new Service Centres across the Riverina will bring 970 essential services from 50 different government departments direct to NSW Government customers.

“Regional NSW makes up 40 per cent of the NSW population and deserves to have equal access to essential services to those in metropolitan areas.

“Today’s announcement means residents in regional towns across the Riverina will be able to bundle their transactions for Government Services – making it easier to renew a driver’s licence, access legal information or lodge a development proposal in the one spot,” he said.

Mr Barilaro today officially opened the new Service Centre in Griffith and said the team had already served more than 20,000 customers since it opened in March.

“The team, led by Manager Trent Dawson, has established a strong customer-centric ethos, recording an impressive customer satisfaction score of over 97 percent which is an incredible result,” Mr Barilaro said.

“Service NSW continues to be a game-changer for citizens and government, making it easier to transact and interact in a time and place that suits them best whether it be in store, online or by phone.”

The new Griffith Service Centre, located at 12B Kooyoo Street, features six service counters, including a wheelchair accessible counter, self-serve kiosks, free Wi-Fi and driver knowledge testing for both cars and heavy vehicles.
